Did my first tandem jump there August 12th 2023 and my first class for static line was there last Saturday (Sept 30th). Going tomorrow to hopefully get my first solo jump in. I'm obsessed with it now.

They were doing what made THEM happy. They didn't want to become bored with their own music and being unhappy just to please some of the fans who wanted them to stay the same. Linkin Park are true artists who loves being creative, having fun just making music in general and loves surprising themselves. They loved surprising themselves on how each album ended up turning out to be just like us fans do and they love it. Chester has even said that he LOVED making each record different than before cause when he gets to hear it play for the 1st time on the radio it still gave him that 1st feeling he got when he heard "One step Closer" playing on the radio for the 1st time. He said it was like listening to a fresh band on every record. It was one of the things that gave him the most joyous feelings that he felt and then said if they had kept doing the same as HT/Meteora he would have lost that spark of passion a long time ago. They also love having a variety of songs that they can choose to play at concerts. They loved doing hard stuff but they also loved doing the softer aswell. Their variety of music catalog gives everytype of mood you could possibly have Angry, depressed, sad, looking for inspiration, soul searching, love, understanding, acceptance and feeling good. - They never claimed themselves as nu/metal they always thought of themselves as a wild card, who loved expermenting with different genre/styles, and making music that has meaning and people can relate the message to wheather its on a personal level or whats going on in the world. Chester has always been open on how he loved different styles/genres of music. Chester even wanted to do an unplugged album of their past songs with only acoustic guitar or piano in the future. He also wanted to do a reggae style album later on aswell. They have ALWAYS been open and honest on what they were going to do since the very beginning so they wouldn't mislead anyone. They have NEVER been tied down to just ONE genre hell thats how the name "Hybrid" got created cause they didn't want to be just ONE thing and being limited. They ALWAYS wanted to grow and evolve with their music its part of growing up. They weren't angsty teens anymore. They got married and had kids and started writing about adult problems and things going on in the world. They are not like other bands. Never have they've always been unique. They do things that THEY want to do and not what others want them to be. The label tried doing that to them with their first 1st album and wanted them to keep doing the same thing as before, and thats not what they wanted. So, they broke out of that very quickly, the label finally backed off of them during Meteora and let them do things their own way by doing it independently with just a little bit of guidance from Rick Ruben. Mike/Brad produced their music, Mike/Chester wrote the songs and then Brad got more involved with the writing in their last album, Mike/Joe came up with art ideas for their albums, Joe also directed majority of their music videos, Mike/Joe came up with set designs/visuals on how they wanted the stages to be on tour, Mike also did the band merchandise and created their web design. They did EVERYTHING that THEY WANTED to do. If anything, "Linkin Park" is its own genre. They were a very special different kind of band and did it by their own rules. Thats what I love about this band and the amazing chemistry that they have. Yes they loss quite a bit of their old fans due to them always experimenting different styles. But, they also gained way more fans than the ones that they loss. But there are still a lot of us fans who've been riding along right beside them and loving the evolving of their music.

I remember turning 21 and going to the bar and in the end came on. Literally every person in there was singing at the top of their lungs , people of all walks of life. I have never forgot that moment and how much of an impact Their music had on people. I miss Chester so much and his heavenly voice and music ❤

I love to listen to Chester talk he seemed to be a really decent guy was a terrible loss.

Found out about Linkin Park by accidentally hearing "One Step Closer" on some music channel (TV channel, that is - this was in the days before RUclips existed)... and I immediately knew this band was going to have a major presence in my life. Meteora was the point where I truly fell in love with these guys, and it's a miracle the CD didn't get worn out from the amount of usage it saw ;) LP was one of the very few bands that spoke my language and sang about the things that bothered me. Their music was an invaluable support for me during those times.

Do you know ? I think they revolutionized the last years of the 20th century and the revolution exploded like a bomb in the 21st century! :-') glad to have you, linkin park. I started hearing the songs for the first time on my brother's computer that day. It's still like yesterday. And I will never forget. at any cost. Because memories are priceless.

Thanks to all of you. Linkin park was my golden years, staying with frends on the beach at night, coming home at 3AM after some good time, Linkin Park blasting through the speakers of my friends car when coming home during summer nights. At some point i stopped listening to linkin park. Then it happened ... . I tried to listen to their last album at that time. I couldn't finish it, it was too heavy, all the breadcrumbs were there to be noticed, he was gonna do it. I started listening again to the last album but sharp edges is really sad because it's the last song he ever sung. And when this song stops, the world stops again.

Linkin Park lost me after MTM.. I fell in love with hybrid, reanimation and meteora. MTM was just too cookie cutter for me. They lost their sound with that album. RIP Chester. You and the band helped make my high school years some of the best years of my life. I’ll never forget riding the band bus to a football game with my arm around my girl and both of us sharing an earbud, listening to meteora.

How could they have been called Zero when their was a 80s band called Zero. Serious question cause I tried to Google the guy Chester replaced.
